What if? What if, what?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Have you pondered on something?
Or have you been asked by someone, hey— what if?
And no matter how long, how smart, how experienced you are~~~~ you couldn’t reach that certain gamut of “something”— and for the first time, you realized there is one thing you don’t have any control with! Because He is! And all you need to do is TRUST the process and WAIT EXPECTANTLY!
I just got back from work~ had an online women’s fellowship with my friends~ we talked about the importance of our own choosing and what thoughts we are letting in hearts and minds— that we have the responsibility to choose Him and choose Faith, rather than our emotions that can be extremely fickle and should not be trusted most times.
Our emotions and minds will take us to a plethora of “what ifs”—- that we can never have answers unless we force things our way! Or until it is revealed to us supernaturally!
Some of this what ifs are triggered by situations— that when you look externally, you lose all the power to even believe of the uncertainty!
Sometimes, it’s triggered by people–who doesn’t understand the challenge, who are so dependent of the societies standards– or are only looking to what eyes can only see, what ears can hear or or what we can sense or feel!
The dangers allowing “what ifs” in our minds are clear:
1. It can be a breeding ground of FEAR and DOUBT.
2. It can detach us from our INTIMACY with the Lord—
3. Loses our sense of TRUST towards our sovereign God.
4. It MAKES US FOCUS on the things that we don’t have any control with.
5. It gives us the chance to ROMANTICIZE pain, suffering, heartache—
6. Instead of moving forward, “what ifs” can drag us down and can slow down our growth process in the Lord
So instead of entertaining to the question, “what if…”
Let us acknowledge these PROMISES!
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
(Romans 8:28 NIV)
because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 1:5â€-‬6 NIV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(Hebrews 11:1 NKJV)
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
(Hebrews 11:3 NLT)
For, “Who can know the Lord ’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 2:16 NLT)
Wait, EXPECTANTLY!
He is God for a reason—- we can never ever change anything or anyone! Only Him has the ULTIMTE POWER to do that!
HIS TIMELINE.
HIS WAYS.
HIS VERSION!
After all….
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord . “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8â€-‬9 NLT)
